Busy on paper, thin in the bank? Check all six profit leaks in 15 minutes.

"Raise your prices" won't tell you where to start. The Six-Category Leak Audit will: 23 questions, one score, and the three biggest leaks ranked so you know what to fix first.

Answer the questions in a spreadsheet on your own computer. In about 15 minutes you'll see your Profit Leak Score out of 100, a conservative estimate of what could be recoverable, and a 30-day plan that starts with the biggest leak.

  • 23 questions, six leak categories, about 15 minutes. Estimates are fine
  • No sales call afterward. The workbook is the whole product
  • No bank connection, no login, no upload. Your numbers never leave your computer

01 · Symptoms and causes

It's almost never one big thing. Here's where the gap usually hides.

The rate you set years ago and never touched. The client who always wants one more small thing while you're there. Software you stopped using but still pay for. The invoice sitting at 45 days because chasing it feels like nagging. Each one looks too small to bother with. Together they're how a full calendar turns into a break-even year. The Profit Leak Finder checks all six and shows you which one your numbers say is biggest.

Pricing

When you last raised your rates, how much work goes out discounted, and how far under the going rate you charge.

Fictional sample: $8,400–$14,400 / yr

Client profitability

How much of your revenue rides on one client, how much work is low-margin, and how many hours go to rework nobody pays for.

Fictional sample: $2,100–$5,040 / yr

Invoices and collections

What's overdue and how old it is, how long clients really take to pay, and how much of each job a deposit covers.

Fictional sample: $1,800–$2,560 one-time · kept separate

Expenses

Recurring charges you've stopped using, and how long it's been since anyone went through the list.

Fictional sample: $3,984–$4,368 / yr

Capacity

How many of your hours get billed, how much admin a simple system could take off your plate, and whether demand can fill the time.

Fictional sample: $5,097–$10,194 / yr

Cash resilience

How many months you could cover with nothing coming in, and how steadily you pay yourself.

Scored as risk only · never added as dollars

Sample job: a fictional consulting business with $120,000 in revenue and invented answers. Its figures show how the report works, not what your business will find.

02 · How it works

Four steps. No opinions. Math you can check.

Step 1

Answer 23 questions

Type into the highlighted boxes. Everything else calculates itself, and the formula cells are locked so you can't break anything. No exact figures? Estimates work. The model is built for them.

Assessment sheet, first questions: annual revenue 120,000, business type consulting or coaching, currency US dollar, each in a highlighted entry box.
Step 2

Get your score, category by category

Six categories, fixed weights, every answer run through the same formula. Same answers, same score, every time. No AI guessing. Recovery is capped at 25% of revenue, one-time invoice money is shown on its own, and cash is scored as risk only.

Category Breakdown sheet, pricing section: score 90, risk band critical, opportunity 8,400 to 14,400, with the inputs and assumptions used.
Step 3

See the three leaks to fix first

The workbook ranks all six by the math and puts the top three in order. Not the one that's bugging you this week. The one your numbers say is biggest.

Priorities table from the sample job: 1 Pricing score 90, 2 Expenses 54, 3 Invoices and collections 42, all high risk.
Step 4

Work the 30-day plan

Days 1–7, 8–14, 15–30. Each step gives you one thing to do and one number to check, starting with the biggest leak. Built-in calculators for pricing, client profitability and overdue invoices help you do the work.

30-Day Plan sheet, days 1 to 7: estimate a pricing scenario, list recurring expenses, build an overdue action list.
03 · Sample job

Don't take our word for it. Check the math on a finished report.

This is a complete report from a made-up consulting business with $120,000 in revenue. Every figure traces back to an answer. We'd rather show you a number you could repeat to your accountant than one that sounds exciting.

Where $19,581–$30,000 comes fromFictional
CategoryLowHigh
Pricing$8,400$14,400
Client profitability$2,100$5,040
Expenses$3,984$4,368
Capacity$5,097$10,194
Sum$19,581$34,002
Capped at 25% of revenue$19,581$30,000

The high end added up to $34,002. That's more than 25% of revenue, so the cap cut it to $30,000. Overdue invoices ($1,800–$2,560) are one-time money and stay out of this total. Cash is scored as risk only.

What it won't do. And where your numbers go.

What this is not

  • It's not accounting software. It won't replace your bookkeeper or your CPA, and it isn't tax or legal advice.
  • It won't connect to your bank, import transactions or file anything.
  • It won't tell you you're sitting on a fortune. If your business is in decent shape, it says so, and your score will be boring.
  • It can't do the work for you. It shows you which three things to fix and where to start.
  • It's only as good as your answers. Rough estimates are fine. Made-up numbers aren't.
  • It's not built for retail, e-commerce, restaurants or inventory businesses.
  • It's not a course, coaching program, community or subscription. Nobody will call to sell you one.

Your numbers stay on your computer

No account. No password. No upload. No bank connection. No cloud sync.

It's a spreadsheet file on your own machine, with no macros. You could unplug the internet, fill in the whole thing, and it would work exactly the same. We never see your answers, your score or your figures.

05 · FAQ

Fair questions. Straight answers.

What happens after I pay?

You pay by card through Stripe. The confirmation page has a button to download the ZIP, and Stripe emails your receipt. Unzip it and open the workbook on your computer. Buy on your phone if you like and run it later on a laptop or desktop. Lost the link? Email us and we'll resend it.

How long does it really take?

About 15 minutes if you have last year's revenue, your monthly expenses, and a rough idea of what's overdue. You don't need exact figures. Estimates are what the model is built for.

Do I need to be good with spreadsheets?

No. You type into highlighted boxes. Everything else calculates itself, and formula cells are protected so you can't break them.

Can't I just paste my numbers into ChatGPT?

You can, and the toolkit includes optional AI prompts. But a chat answers whatever you happen to ask it, a little differently each time. The workbook asks the same 23 questions every time, scores them the same way every time, and ranks the result. Same answers, same score.

I already use QuickBooks. Why do I need this?

QuickBooks records what happened. It doesn't tell you which of six problems is costing the most or what to fix first. This uses numbers you can pull straight from QuickBooks, then scores and ranks them. Use both.

Why a spreadsheet and not an app?

So your numbers never have to leave your computer to get an answer, and so a one-time purchase doesn't turn into another monthly subscription. Excel desktop and Excel Online both work.

How do you keep the estimate from being inflated?

Three rules built into the math. Annual recovery is capped at 25% of revenue. Overdue invoices are one-time money, shown on their own and never added to the yearly figure. Cash resilience is scored as risk only, never as dollars. It's an educational estimate based on your inputs, not a promise.

Will someone call me to sell me something?

No. There's no sales call, no coaching pitch and no account to log into. The workbook is the whole product.

Will it work for my type of business?

It's built for owner-operated service businesses — trades and home services, agencies, consultants, freelancers, professional services. Solo or a small crew. Not retail, e-commerce, restaurants or inventory businesses.

Does it work on a Mac or in Google Sheets?

It's built and tested for Microsoft Excel desktop and Excel Online. On a Mac without Excel, use Excel Online in your browser. Apple Numbers isn't supported. Google Sheets import is best effort.

How do refunds work?

Email us within 30 days of purchase and ask. You get your $47 back to the card you paid with. No forms to fill in.

Is this a subscription?

No. One payment of $47. Nothing renews and nothing is charged later.

Do I need an AI subscription?

No. The AI part is optional and works with any assistant you already use. Every number, priority and plan comes from the spreadsheet itself.
